| 4. Opening Remarks | • Donna Carter will be retiring next month. This will be her last meeting. She will be missed. On Wednesday, May 19, there will be a lunch on Longhorn Steak House to celebrate Donna Carter and her retirement. - Donna Carter has been on Staff Senate for at least 20 years. • Gift was purchased for faculty member who passed away. It's an engraved wind chime. Chandee Felder delivered it. | • Staff Senate: please let Jack know if you plan on attending the luncheon for Donna Carter. |
| 5. Staff Senate Committee Updates | • Outreach Committee - Still looking at doing the Fill the Van food collection. - Instead of a van, we will place backets in three locations, which are ASB, Jordan, and Hathaway. | • Motion was unanimously approved to provide pizza and drinks for pizza party. |
- The rest of campus would be divided to where they would drop off food at these three locations.- Possible date for Food Drive: June 7 through June 18. Dates are still fluid and are subject to change.- We want to make this a contest. Winner would get a pizza party. We would like to get approval from Staff Senate to purchase pizza and drinks for the party- Outreach Committee needs to meet again to finalize plans for this.• Staff Morale Committee- Will have a meeting in mid-May.- Come up with ways to increase staff morale and happiness.- Cupcakes. June is the next cupcake event. Juneteenth is the focus.• Staff Relations Committee- No updates. Staff Relations will meet in May.- Thorodash is currently on hold due to Gail leaving.• Election Committee- We must have an election this year.- Barb will get with Donna about this. Jack will send you flyer and list when it is ready.Jack and Tia will make a Juneteenth flyer for the June cupcake event.Make sure August 8 is included in this as well.
- Announcements Open enrollment starts tomorrow and will end on May 26.Jasmin will send board meeting presentation to us.Jack will send May meeting minutes to Jasmin before board meeting.
