All construction activities associated with this project were completed on Wednesday, April 15, 2026.
This project restriped the existing roadway by adding sharrows to accommodate an on-street bikeway along Central Avenue from 7th Avenue to Florida Avenue in Tampa.

- added traffic calming elements along corridor
- modified sidewalks and ADA ramps
- added new striping to crosswalks
- installed wayfinding signage
- added bulb outs for on-street parking and pedestrian safety
- installed Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons at Palm Avenue, Columbus Drive, Fern Street, and Flora Street
- removed the existing traffic signal and added a four-way stop at Central Avenue and Lake Avenue
- installed a new signal at Florida Avenue and 7th Avenue
