About the Event
An inauguration is a formal ceremony to mark the beginning of a new leader’s term in office. For universities, it is an important tradition that celebrates the installation of their president, highlighting the vision and future direction for the institution. For KSU, this is our 19th Inauguration since our founding in 1886.
The event highlights Dr. Akakpo's initiatives: academics, agriculture and access to resources. He desires for the event to be open for all Kentucky State University students and guests without spending any state tax payer money.
Invited attendees include State Leaders, University Presidents, industry executives, delegates from all 101 HBCUs in the United States and all public and private universities in the Commonwealth.
All sponsorships following expenses will go towards University Scholarships to ensure the students of KSU matriculate and become the leaders of tomorrow in the Commonwealth.
