University Vehicle Policies

  1. Policy Statement/Procedure Description
  2. Vehicles owned by Kentucky State University are to be operated only by those employees who seek to carry out work within the scope of their employment at the University. For an individual to operate a University vehicle, there first must be proof of a valid Kentucky driver’s license. The authority to operate a University vehicle shall only be given by the President or by the appropriate vice president within such employee’s line of supervision.
  3. Under no circumstances shall a person who has no affiliation with the University (e.g., faculty, staff, or student) be given authorization to operate a University vehicle.
  4. Students are not allowed to drive vehicles owned by the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
