MINUTES
1. Call to Order:
Chairperson Karen Bearden welcomed attendees to the special meeting of the Kentucky State University Board of Regents and called the meeting to order at 9:09 a.m. on July 25, 2013.
II. Roll Call:
Chairperson Bearden asked the Secretary to the Board to conduct the roll call:
Regent Banks, PresentRegent Henry, Present
Regent Barfield, PresentRegent Lysonge, Present
Regent Bearden, PresentRegent Reddy, Present
Regent Conner, PresentRegent Whitehead, Present
Regent Franklin, PresentRegent Williams, Present
Regent Guarnieri, Present
Eleven Regents were in attendance. A quorum was declared.
III. Opening Remarks:
Regent Bearden and President Sias offered briefly welcomed the attendees to the meeting. President Sias advised that following the meeting, the Board's Executive Committee would convene.
IV. Closed Session:
A motion to enter into closed session for the purposes of discussing personnel matters pursuant to KRS 61.810(1)(f) was made by Regent Franklin and seconded by Regent Reddy. The motion passed unanimously. Thereafter, the board entered into closed session.

V. Open Session:
The board returned to Open Session at approximately 6:59 p.m. The board took no action in closed session.
VI. Adjournment:
Action: Motion was made to adjourn the Board meeting by Regent Franklin and seconded by Regent Henry. The motion passed unanimously.
The meeting adjourned at 7:00 p.m.
