A Message from the Director
As we begin a new academic year, I want to share Title III/VII Strategic Plan for 2025-2028. Our grants will continue to support strengthening our institution's capacity, and improving academic quality. This funding will allow us to implement significant changes aimed at boosting student success and strengthening our university community.
Our three-year strategic plan focuses on the following three goals
1. Transformative Engagements through Donor Efforts:
Kentucky State University will use a strategic process of building deep, meaningful relationships with supporters to achieve systemic, long-term change. The growth of the relationships will move beyond transactional fundraising, where donations are the primary focus, to a partnership-based approach that empowers donors to feel personally invested in the cause.
2 Ensuring Equitable Student Access:
Kentucky State University will provide every student with the fair and just opportunities and resources they need to succeed, regardless of their background. This involves identifying and removing barriers, providing necessary tools and support, and creating robust learning environments.
3. Graduate Studies: Sustainable Educational Resources by Improving the Utilization of Online Student Services and Promoting Services that Enhance Learning:
To grow graduate programs in an institutional sense, Kentucky State University must focus on targeted educational outreach, improve and engage the utilization of online student services, promote services that enhance the online graduate experience. All require a clear focus on student and program goals, strategic planning, and consistent effort.
- Create centralized and accessible support hubs
- Proactively promote services to increase awareness
- Integrate support into the online learning experience
- Design services that directly enhance in-person and online learning
Overall, the goal of the Office of Title III Programs to provide a transformative educational experience for every student and ensure our graduates are prepared to make meaningful contributions to society.
Sincerely,
DeAnna L. Brown, EdD
Director, Title III Programs
VISION
The vision for Title III Programs is to identify, strengthen and improve educational outcomes with specific goals and efforts that align with institutional priorities
The Office of Title III Programs is dedicated to advancing the university's capacity for growth by fostering financial stability, investing in academic innovation, and building sustainable endowments. Through these efforts, we strive to ensure long-term institutional success and academic excellence.
MISSION
1.0 Transformative Engagements through Donor Efforts.
Endowments are vital to the longevity of any institution and their adaptability to future unfunded needs. Through the Title III, Part B funds, the institution will grow its endowment by matching and managing the perpetual funds through The Kentucky State University Thorobred Foundation, Inc. The endowment will provide long-term financial stability, funds vital to academic areas like student aid, faculty and student research, which enables for long-range planning - independent of government funding, and economic downturns. The goal of achieving $100M is to ensure a continuous revenue stream to support our mission, vision, and goals of education, research, and public service not only to the Commonwealth of Kentucky but globally.

These culminating projects are significantly more demanding and extensive than typical coursework and can be a new experience for graduate students.
