26/3417/PRIOR-11B Land At The Junction Of Claremont Road, Crewe Prior approval
The Committee support consultee concerns in relation to existing boundary walls and request these be restored using materials, dimensions and finishes that match the original as closely as possible, to mitigate negative impact on the bordering properties.
6 To consider making responses to any urgent planning application consultations that have arisen since this agenda was published.
26/3348/FUL Grand Junction Retail Park, Earle St, Crewe, CW1 2RP Erection of a commercial building (Class E) and associated physical works to site layout.
Resolved: Members object to this application, on the grounds that reconfiguration of the existing two-way access road and construction of a building along the proposed route will considerably impact public safety risk. The Grand Junction site has significant bottleneck vehicular traffic issues
particularly during peak shopping seasons/hours and weekends - with all site movement forced into the limited entry and egress corridors. Closing and/or restricting current alternatives will cause extensive site gridlock, hinder emergency service responses and mass-exit routes for public, in event of on-site incidents or security issues.
7 To note any responses submitted under delegation since the previous meeting.
26/2872/HOUS Householder
1 Shakespeare Drive, Crewe, Cheshire East, CW1 5HX

26/2717/FUL Full Planning
Duke of Bridgewater, 2 Wistaston Road, Crewe, Cheshire East, CW2 7RA
Conversion of current commercial property (former Duke of Bridgewater Public House - Sui Generis), into a 13 bedroom House in multiple occupation (HMO) (Sui-Generis).
Members of the Planning and Environment Committee raise the following concerns and application queries:
For safety on site and for potential residents, with associated dangers of working and living near buried cables, electrified tracks and/or high-voltage overhead cables, are restrictions in place within this site for development which will impede the proposed extension, in such close proximity to the railway line?
1 Single occupancy room is proposed, though this is shown with a double bed allocation. Can it be confirmed that national living standard requirements are clear and applied to this space.
Refuse and parking arrangements for this site could impact pedestrian and vehicular movement at the busy junction. Members seek officer assurance that the safety impact is mitigated in proposals.

I. Consider any new information received in relation to PROW Crewe FP8 and Crewe FP9. Additional PROW information was unavailable; the item was deferred to a future Committee meeting when the full Waldrons Place application will be considered.
