TOWNSHIP OF JACKSON RESOLUTION 369-2025

AUTHORIZING AWARD OF CONTRACT TO ROBERT H. HOOVER & SONS INC. THROUGH SOURCEWELL NATIONAL COOPERATIVE CONTRACT #063020-BBB FOR TWO (2) FORD G5 COMMERCIAL BUSES – 18 PASSENGERS

WHEREAS, in accordance with the requirements of the Local Public Contract Law P.L. 2011, C.139 (the “Law” or “Chapter 139” and N.J.S.A.52:34-6.2 the regulations promulgated there under in Local Finance Notice LFN 2012-10, the following purchase without competitive bids from vendor with a National Cooperative Contract is hereby approved for municipalities; and

WHEREAS, the Township of Jackson has the need to procure certain 18 passenger bus transportation in accord with the Local Publics Contract Law N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et. Seq., and

WHEREAS, the Township of Jackson has previously acted in accord with New Jersey public procurement statutes and regulations as promulgated by formally joining a recognized and compliant national cooperative, being the Sourcewell National Cooperative through on December 15, 2023; and

WHEREAS the regulations as set forth within Local Finance Notice LFN 2012-10 have been fully complied with; and

WHEREAS, the Qualified Purchasing Agent has complied with the public notification provisions of public advertisement and has received no protests in accord with law and regulation; and

WHEREAS the Township is desirous of purchasing equipment for its public custodial duties through #063020-BBB for Robert H. Hoover & Sons Inc., 140 Gold Mine Rd., Flanders, N.J. including accessories and warranty for $139,697.00 per bus, or a total Price for two buses of $279,394.00; and

WHEREAS the Chief Financial Officer certifies the funding is available in the amount of $279,394.00 from:

Account number: C-04-55-847-000-129 (Capital) $49,000 C-04-55-848-000-629 (Capital) $230,394

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Council of the Township of Jackson, County of Ocean, State of New Jersey, as follows:

1. That the Department of Public Works be and herby is authorized to procure two (2) Ford G5 Commercial buses - 18 Passengers for $139,697.00 per bus, or for a total Price for two Buses: $279,394.00, through sourcewell cooperative #063020-BBB for Robert H. Hoover & Sons Inc., 140 Gold Mine Rd., Flanders, N.J.
2. That the Township Clerk shall forward a certified copy of this Resolution to the following:

• A.Superintendent of Public Works
• B.Chief Financial Officer.
• C.Qualified Purchasing Agent
