RESOLUTION 312-2025
AUTHORIZE THE SUBMISSION AND ACCEPTANCE OF JACKSON TOWNSHIP SUSTAINED ENFORCEMENT GRANT 2026 FROM THE U.S. DOT/NATIONAL HIGHWAY TRAFFIC SAFETY ADMINISTRATION IN THE AMOUNT OF $95,000.00
WHEREAS, the Township of Jackson Police Department is seeking authorization to apply for and accept the Jackson Township Sustained Enforcement Grant 2026 commencing October 1, 2025, through September 30, 2026, from the DOT/National Highway Traffic Safety Administration; and
WHEREAS, the State would award a grant to the Township of Jackson in the amount of $95,000.00 for traffic enforcement during the one (1) year period; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Council of the Township of Jackson, County of Ocean, State of New Jersey, the following:
That the Jackson Township Police Department is authorized to make application for and accept the Jackson Township Sustained Enforcement Grant 2026 in the amount of $95,000.00.
The rate shall be $70.00 per hour.
That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute and the Township Clerk to attest to the Grant Acceptance Conditions.
That this resolution shall become effective immediately.
That upon adoption of this resolution, the Clerk is authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of it to Police Officer Tristan Bennett, Stephanie Marlin and any other interested parties.

I, Sandra F. Martin RMC, do hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a resolution adopted by the Governing Body of the Township of Jackson at a meeting held on the 16th day of October, 2025.
