The Florida Department of Transportation's contractor, Traffic Control Devices, Inc., made safety improvements to the intersection of US 41 (21st Street/22nd Street) at Selmon Expressway in Tampa.
Improvements included:
addition of new traffic signals
construction of new mid-block pedestrian crosswalks with raised traffic separators and pedestrian refuges
