As Clerk of this meeting, I publicly announce that in compliance with the provisions of the “Open Public Meetings Act” adequate notice of this Meeting of the Jackson Township Committee has been advertised in the manner prescribed by law. This statement will be entered into the Minutes of this meeting.
MAYOR YALDEN: He said in reviewing contracts he had to sign, he came across the Interlocal Services Agreement for the Animal Facility, which had been voted on by three Committee members, Mr. Broderick, Mr. Grisanti and himself and it represented a change in a financial contract with the Ocean County Board of Health. He said he wasn't sure if it was a vote of necessity or if they only needed a majority vote of the Committee at the time. To be on the safe side, he asked for the vote to be retaken and for the Deputy Mayor to sign on his behalf to avoid any perception of conflict.

COMMITTEEMAN BRODERICK: He suggested that Administrator Santos be asked to speak with Mr. Del Turco regarding the readouts on Emergency Appropriations or any future listings, to be enlarged for the future so that it can be read to which Mayor Yalden concurred with the suggestion.
ADMINISTRATOR SANTOS: He continued the discussion by saying a couple of items have been brought to his, as well as the CFO's, attention including snow removal as was previously indicated required additional money, but related to that our fuel account and heating oil is near exhaustion. As a result, funds have been added to that as well as liability insurance in the amount of $700.00. He said all of the other accounts are under last year's appropriation which brings the total to $150,000.00 last years as $69,500.00. For the Committee's edification, once this is voted on, we are locked in by law to fund the whole $150,000.00 whether we use it or not. Currently, our snow bills are in excess of over $100,000.00.
