RESOLUTION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF JACKSON, COUNTY OF OCEAN, STATE OF NEW JERSEY, APPOINTING JENNIFER L. KUHN AS MAYOR OF THE TOWNSHIP OF JACKSON FOR THE UNEXPIRED TERM OF MAYOR MICHAEL REINA

WHEREAS, Michael Reina resigned from his position of Mayor of the Township of Jackson, effective October 1, 2025, creating a vacancy pursuant to N.J.S.A.. 40A:16-3; and

WHEREAS, N.J.S.A. 40A:16-12 et seq. sets forth the procedures pursuant to which a vacancy in the office of mayor shall be filled in a non-partisan municipality; and

WHEREAS, in accordance with said procedures, the governing body has selected Jennifer L. Kuhn for appointment to the office of Mayor for the unexpired term of Mayor Michael Reina, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:16-5(a).

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the governing body of the Township of Jackson, County of Ocean, State of New Jersey, as follows:

That Jennifer L. Kuhn is hereby appointed to the to the office of Mayor of the Township of Jackson, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:16-1 et seq.

That pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:16-4(a), Jennifer L. Kuhn shall hold office as Mayor for the duration of the unexpired term of Mayor Michael Reina through December 31, 2026.

I, Sandra F. Martin RMC, do hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a resolution adopted by the Governing Body of the Township of Jackson at a meeting held on the 3^{rd} day of October, 2025.
