TOWNSHIP OF JACKSON RESOLUTION 283-2025

RESOLUTION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF JACKSON, COUNTY OF OCEAN, STATE OF NEW JERSEY GRANTING A SOCIAL AFFAIRS PERMIT TO STATION 55 VOLUNTEER FIRE CO. #1

WHEREAS, Jackson Township Station 55 Volunteer Fire Co. #1, has applied to the Township of Jackson for a Social Affairs Permit pursuant to N. J. S. A. 33:1-74 and N. J. A. C. 13:2-5.1; and

WHEREAS, the purpose of the Social Affairs Permit is to allow Station 55 Volunteer Fire Co. #1, to sell alcoholic beverages during their Comedy Show event to be held at 113 N. New Prospect Rd. on October 4th 2025 from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm; and

WHEREAS, N. J. S. A. 33:1-74 and N.J.A.C. 13:2-5.1 authorize the issuance of Social Affairs Permits to bona fide non-profit organizations, allowing them to sell, serve, and distribute alcoholic beverages for consumption at special events; and

WHEREAS, the Township has reviewed the application, certified that there is no objection to the applicant's application, and believes that the event will be conducted in a manner that will not adversely affect the public health, safety, and welfare; and.

WHEREAS, the issuance of this permit is contingent upon compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations, including but not limited to the rules and regulations of the New Jersey Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) as outlined in N.J.A.C. 13:2-5.1; and

WHEREAS, Jackson Township Station 55 Volunteer Fire Co. #1, agrees to adhere to all guidelines and requirements as set forth by the ABC, including but not limited to the lawful sale, distribution, and consumption of alcoholic beverages at the event.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Township Council of the Township of Jackson, New Jersey that:

1. The application submitted by Jackson Township Station 55 Volunteer Fire Co. #1, for a Social Affairs Permit pursuant to N.J.S.A. 33:1-74 and N.J.A.C. 13:2-5.1 is hereby approved.
2. The Township Clerk is authorized and directed to forward this resolution, along with any required documentation, to the New Jersey Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control for the issuance of the Social Affairs Permit to Jackson Township Station 55 Volunteer Fire Co. #1
