AUTHORIZING THE AWARD OF A CONTRACT TO SHORE TOP CONSTRUCTION CORP FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A CONNECTOR ROAD FROM MUIRFIELD ROAD TO TILFORD STREET
WHEREAS, the Township of Jackson has previously advertised for and received bids for the project entitled “Connector Road from Muirfield Road to Tilford Street”; and
WHEREAS, five (5) bids were received as follows:

WHEREAS, by letter dated June 16, 2025, the Township Engineer T&M Associates has recommended to the Township Council that the Township award the Base Bid and Alternate Bid “A” to the lowest responsive bidder, Shore Top Construction Corp in the amount of $444,801.00; and
WHEREAS, it appears the bid of Shore Top Construction Corp has been submitted in compliance with the bid specifications; and
WHEREAS, the Townships Chief Financial Officer has issued a Certificate of Available Funds from Current Fund T-20-56-862-000-820 in the amount not to exceed $444,801.00 which Certificate is attached hereto as Exhibit A; and
WHEREAS, the Township Council wishes to accept the recommendation of the Township Engineer.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED the Township Council of the Township of Jackson, County of Ocean, State of New Jersey as follows:
- The Township hereby awards a contract to Shore Top Construction Corp for Base Bid and Alternate Bid “A” in the total amount of $444,801.00.
- The Mayor, Township Clerk and such other officials as may be deemed necessary are hereby authorized to execute any and all documents necessary to implement the intent of this Resolution.
