RESOLUTION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF JACKSON, COUNTY OF OCEAN, STATE OF NEW JERSEY, APPOINTING VERONICA PEDROZA-DAGNER TO THE POSITION OF CLERK 3 IN THE JACKSON TOWNSHIP MUNICIPAL CLERK'S OFFICE

WHEREAS, the Township of Jackson (“Township”) has identified a need to fill the position of Clerk 3 in the Municipal Clerk’s Office to ensure the efficient operation of municipal services; and

WHEREAS, Ms. Veronica Pedroza-Dagner, currently employed by the Township as a Clerk 1, has demonstrated the qualifications, skills, and experience necessary to perform the duties of Clerk 3; and

WHEREAS, Ms. Pedroza-Dagner has tested within the top three candidates on the New Jersey Civil Service Commission's eligible list for the position of Clerk 3, effective March 27, 2025, in accordance with the competitive examination process; and

WHEREAS, the governing body recommends the appointment of Ms. Pedroza-Dagner to the position of Clerk 3, retroactive to March 27, 2025, consistent with the effective date of the Civil Service list; and

WHEREAS, this appointment is consistent with the policies and procedures of the Township and the applicable regulations of the New Jersey Civil Service Commission,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Council of the Township of Jackson, County of Ocean, State of New Jersey, as follows:

Ms. Veronica Pedroza-Dagner is hereby appointed to the position of Clerk 3 in the Municipal Clerk's Office in the Township of Jackson.

The salary for the position of Clerk 3 shall be in accordance with the current municipal salary ordinance and any applicable collective bargaining agreement.

The appointment shall be effective retroactive to March 27, 2025, the effective date of the Civil Service list.

The Municipal Clerk is hereby authorized to take all necessary actions to effectuate this appointment, including but not limited to updating personnel records, notifying the New Jersey Civil Service Commission, and submitting any required documentation.

This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.

A certified copy of this resolution shall be provided to the Municipal Clerk and Ms. Veronica Pedroza-Dagner.
