SPRING YOUTH BASKETBALL LEAGUE

All youth sports programs may be subject to postponements and/or cancellations depending on weather, air quality, and current health orders. Programs may be impacted by holiday closures.

The spring youth basketball league offers beginner and advanced league play for youth in grades 3rd-8th. Participants will be introduced to the fundamentals of the game in a team setting by experienced youth sports instructors.

League games are played at McKinley Middle School Gym, Robinson Park, Victory Park, and/or Octavia E.

Butler Middle School Gym.

SPRING SCHEDULE:

Practices Start: March 23, 2026

Games Start: April 18, 2026*

*No games held on May 23

Divisions:

  • A: 7th/8th Grade - Thursday and/or Friday games.
  • B: 5th/6th Grade - Wednesday and/or Saturday games.
  • C: 3rd/4th Grade - Tuesday and/or Saturday games. FEE:
  • $10 for Pasadena Residents/PUSD Students
  • $95 for non-residents

MIGHTY MITES BASKETBALL

Spring and Summer Mighty Mites basketball will introduce youth ages 5-8 to the fundamentals of basketball including shooting, dribbling, passing, defense, and hand-eye coordination in a safe and fun environment. Participants will learn from experienced youth sports instructors on Saturdays. Following training, participants will apply what they have learned in short practice games. Space is limited.

Spring Dates: April 25- May 23, 2026*

Summer Dates: July 11-August 1, 2026

  • Ages 5-6 - 9:00 am - 10:00 am
  • Ages 7-8 - 9:00 am - 10:15 am

The Villa Parke Youth Soccer League was established in the 1970s and continues to thrive. The league encourages skill development in a fun, recreational atmosphere. Quality coaching and competitive matches make the league a great fit for all skill and experience levels.
