These locations were chosen in line with the CIRS Scrutiny and Cabinet recommendations regarding pothole data, protected characteristics and with consideration given to geographical and political spread.

The trial started on 29th June and at the time of writing, the first non-safety defects have already been passed to our contractor for repair. It is however important to note that there will be times during the 12-month trial when the number of safety defects means it needs to be paused to allow the teams to focus on those issues that pose the greatest risk to the travelling public (typically winter/early Spring)
