Your business waste collection is NOT included in your business rates. If you, or your employees, dump rubbish on the street you are a fly-tipper and face a fine of up to £50,000. We can help you to ensure that your business stores and disposes of waste in a legal and environmentally sensitive way.
As a business you have a legal responsibility to contain and dispose of your waste correctly under the Environmental Protection Act 1990. This includes all waste produced from your business and office personnel waste such as paper, lunch packaging or small amounts of food waste.
It is your responsibility to ensure your waste removal contractor is licenced and disposing of your waste in a legal and environmentally sensitive way. If illegal dumping is traced back to your business, you can be fined up to £50,000.
