The successful bidder must execute a timber sale contract with the seller within 14 days of notice of award. The buyer must be bonded with the State of Iowa. The buyer is responsible for insuring that there is sufficient liability coverage maintained on all individuals involved in the logging operation.

Seller reserves the right to reject any or all bids.

Bids are due no later than May 20th at 1:00 PM. Final approval and potential acceptance of bids will take place pending board approval at the May Conservation Board Meeting on May 21st at 4:00 PM.

Operations, including cutting, skidding, and removal of the sale trees must take place between the dates of September 1st 2026 and March 31st, 2027. The harvest must take place one frozen, firm ground to prevent damage to the field being used as a log deck. The logging deck must be completely removed of large debris once logging operations have finished.

The seller requires a down payment of 25\% of the bid. The remainder of the bid price must be paid in full before the start of logging.
