• A. General standard. Cooling systems and associated water supply, treatment, discharge, and chemical handling shall prevent contamination, avoid adverse impacts to groundwater, surface waters, neighboring wells, public water systems, municipal water/sewer infrastructure, drought resilience, and receiving waters, and comply with all applicable approvals. The standards in this Section are adopted as land-use, water-resource, sewer-capacity, drought-resilience, nuisance-prevention, infrastructure-impact, and environmental- protection requirements.
