This year, we let 419 homes to people in housing need. This includes Deanna and partner Wade, who moved into a two-bedroom Cottsway home. After a planned stay abroad with family did not work out and with Deanna heavily pregnant, the couple returned to West Oxfordshire, where they had both lived previously. The family spent eight months on the council's housing waiting list while living with a relative, before finally being offered a home of their own. With support from our Housing team, the couple quickly settled into their new home and community. Green-fingered Deanna has especially enjoyed having a garden of their own.

After being homeless and sleeping on a sofa, moving into our own house has been amazing. We love how peaceful it is here.
Cottsway staff have been really quick to help, usually fixing problems within a day or two. They even provided us with a second-hand cooker through their furniture re-use scheme, which helped us out a lot. It's great to feel like we're home at last.
