The reuse telephone hotline which had been in place since the commencement of the project has now ceased operating. However, each of the constituent councils has established an alternative reuse collection service.
Lambeth has established an alternative hotline service and collection arrangement for its residents with Emmaus, a homeless charity which was the collection partner in that borough under the previous arrangement. The service is free of charge, although Emmaus reserves the right to reject any item it finds unsuitable to be reused. It also encourages residents to forward to it photos of the items for collection to ensure suitability prior to collection bookings.
Wandsworth has also established an arrangement direct with its previous collection partner. Resco operates a new hotline number and booking service and has agreed to charge the same for the collections as Wandsworth's bulky waste collection charge. Kensington and Chelsea also uses Resco for its reuse collection service. Collections are charged at £30
Hammersmith and Fulham have set up a direct arrangement with Furnish, their collection partner under the LRL arrangement.
