Materials and Methods

The only materials I used to make my game were the computer and associated software. The first step was creating my own account on scratch. I next chose a backdrop and a sprite. A sprite is the object/character used when you play the game. I then had to choose an event and date script. While choosing my data script I had to learn what a variable was and how to use one. A variable is what contains numbers, texts, and Booleans (true/false). I also used the operations, motion, looks, and sound scripts. The operations allow me to enter problems like 3 × 6 and the program would return the correct answer. The motion script allowed me to give my sprite any movement I wanted. I used the look script and gave my sprite a word box. You can also use it to change the color of your sprite. The sound script allows you to give your sprite sounds. Each of these features was used to develop the game.

Results and Discussion and Future Plans

My project showed how computer programming is more important than others may think. Computers are mostly used for work purposes, such as, creating websites and computer systems. Eventually most jobs are going to be based on computers and computer programming, which is why it's so important for us to learn about computer science now. I decided to show that going
