Globally challenging equity risk capital market, with investors increasingly focused on fewer and larger deals. At the early stage, this has made it more difficult for companies to raise new funding, reflecting lower levels of investor risk tolerance.
As a result of these challenges, a number of projects supported by Scottish Enterprise were delayed, which impacted on our published outturns, particularly the year-end position on Jobs.
1,061 unique companies delivering 1,686 projects contributed to 2025/26 outcome measures. A breakdown of those companies in terms of size is shown below.
