O

  1. For example, the administration told all the faculty who taught math and English that their classes would be observed to see how the new accelerated learning program was going. Dr. Stokes did not even write a letter to the administration with her complaints, as Dr. Fallon did. Instead, Dr. Stokes merely told Dr. Shaw and Dr. Wheeler not to return to her class.
  2. In the second instance, Dr. Stokes admitted in the October 15, 2015, meeting that she knew she did not have the authority to exclude students accused of plagiarism from her class, that only the administration could do so.16 Despite this admission, Dr. Stokes now claims she barred MS from her class because of the “classroom safety incident.” Besides being disingenuous, this excuse does not explain why she barred the other three students from her class.
  3. In the third instance, no reasonable faculty member would think he or she could speak to Mr. Haskins as she did.
  4. And finally, she was informed she was required to accommodate PW before she told him he had to drop her class.17
  5. In each instance, she had to know her intransigence was unjustified. Her protests now are not believable.
  6. According to Petitioner, KSU “failed to consider a less drastic sanction prior to the Petitioner’s termination.”18 The Petitioner offered no proof whatsoever about the sanctions that KSU actually considered before terminating her. The Petitioner also offered no proof that KSU was required to consider lesser sanctions before terminating her.
