Lexmark International Inc., Lexington, KY
May 1992 – June 1995
Color Laser Printer Development
Responsible for charge control agent selection for liquid toner for Lexmark's liquid toner color engine Program.
Analysis of charging mechanism of liquid toners using NMR, IR, and Atomic Absorption techniques.
Performed functional testing of toners containing different polymer blends.
Selected polymer resins to improve image transfer and fuse grade.
Ink Development for Inkjet Printers
Identified dispersant material for ink of Lexmark's 150C inkjet printer.
Synthesized and characterized acrylic graft copolymers in several solvents. This work was key to the
ink design and for pigments to stay dispersed in the ink cartridge.
