- Received an award as a “Legend in Family and Consumer Sciences” along with others and was featured in a publication “Leaders in Family and Consumer Sciences” during the Annual meeting of the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences, June, 2016 in Bellevue, WA
- Contributor to: Consumer Survival: An Encyclopedia of Consumer Rights, Safety, and Protection, (2014). Wendy Reiboldt & Melanie Horn Mallers, Editors. ABC-CLIO, Santa Barbara, CA.
- Received the 2016 award for Excellence in Extension from the Association of Extension Administrators for outstanding contributions to Cooperative Extension work at 1890 Historically Black Land Grant Universities.
