KENTUCKY STATE UNIVERSITY BOARD OF REGENTS
Approval to purchase network switches for Hunter Hall.
The Kentucky State University Land Grant Program utilized funds from the 2008 and 2013 facility fund grants to renovate the former dormitory, Hunter Hall. This project is set to be finalized in December of 2022.
The Hunter Hall renovation project will yield approximately fifteen offices that will support almost two dozen employees, a large conference room, a breakroom, and two labs, including a large GIS lab and a large Family & Consumer Sciences lab.
The purchase of network switches is needed so that Hunter Hall will have telecommunications available in preparation for the grand opening and movement of employees into the location. More specifically, the network switches will allow for phone service, internet service, HVAC controls, and elevator service.
The Land Grant program is requesting approval to use $85,908.18 of facility federal USDA grant funds to purchase network switches and telecommunication services for Hunter Hall.
Interim President Ronald A. Johnson recommends that the Board of Regents approves the use of USDA funds to purchase network switches for Hunter Hall.
