Key Findings and RecommendationsHeritage - site contains three Grade II Listed assets and is partially located within the Whitworth Street Conservation Area. Various plots across the masterplan could accommodate a PBSA building. The entire site is within the single ownership of the UoM. North Campus SRF (2017) does not identify PBSA as a use within the site as indicated on the masterplan. The UoM and Bruntwood Sci tech are progressing plans for an internationally significant applied innovation district. Vision for ID Manchester is focused on delivery a mixed-use neighbourhood for businesses – to co-locate businesses, access to key talent pools and knowledge ups and access to transport and digital connectivity. This would be delivered over the next 10-15 years. A revised masterplan is currently being prepared and will anticipate will be subject to a refreshed SRF. We understand that PBSA is not currently identified by the landowner and JV as a desired component of the innovation district.
