Animal Services maintained a strong community presence throughout Quarter 1 of FY 26/27, participating in 13 adoption, outreach, and community events across Victorville. These events created additional opportunities for residents to meet adoptable pets, learn about shelter services, and engage with the Animal Services team outside of the shelter.

Staff continued to expand community outreach through pet adoption opportunities at the library and farmers markets, as well as at events such as Concerts in the Park, National Night Out, the Route 66 Centennial, and through collaborations with local businesses. These efforts helped increase public awareness of animals available for adoption.
