During Quarter 1 of FY 26/27, Animal Services added a new enclosed trailer to support off-site adoption and community outreach events. The trailer provides dedicated space to transport kennels, tables, supplies, and event equipment, helping staff streamline setup, improve organization, and expand event readiness throughout the community.

Completion of the shelter's gas line replacement project restored dependable gas service throughout the facility, supporting consistent hot water for kennel cleaning and sanitation and reliable heating for staff and animal housing areas. The improvements help maintain safe, comfortable, and efficient daily shelter operations.
