KSU Prepares to Celebrate 140 Years
Throughout the 2026-27, KSU will celebrate 140 years of excellence in education, service, and impact. This milestone provides an opportunity to reflect on our history, showcase our present achievements, and build momentum for the future. As we plan for this historic occasion, the goal is to honor our legacy, forge new collaborations, and excel in our development efforts. Students, alumni, and community members will play a major role in our success.
Strategies and Tactics include:
Define the 140th anniversary celebration and messaging that honors KSU's past, present, and future.
Host signature events, develop initiatives, or cultivate partnerships that elevate the impact and visibility of the celebration throughout the year.
Engage students, alumni, faculty, staff, board of regents, and the broader community in meaningful ways to foster pride, long-term support, and participation.
Develop legacy projects to ensure the 140th anniversary has a long-term benefit for the University.
Measure success and set reasonable goals prior to any announcements.
