Graduate Student Spearheads Study on Soybean Seeds
Since 2023, graduate student Sudip Poudel has been conducting multiple studies to understand soybean pod and seed growth and composition dynamics under different assimilate availability. For his master's thesis research, Poudel executed a field study that tested the effect of increased assimilate supply during different seed filling stages in soybean production. This groundbreaking study is the first of its kind to identify the final seed size determination stage under field conditions. The School of Business and Center for Economic Education and Financial Literacy proudly hosted the Annual Student Research Day and Awards Banquet in April. The event spotlighted outstanding student research across various disciplines and celebrated academic excellence through posters, oral presentations, paper competitions, and faculty recognition.
