ACTION ITEM:

Approval to Sell or Dispose of Surplus University Buses

FACTS:

The University has determined that three of its buses have reached the end of their useful lives. The University is therefore seeking approval to dispose or sell these vehicles pursuant to KRS 164A.575(8).

The buses will be sold via an online auction website (such as GovDeals).

BUDGETARY IMPLICATIONS:

Approval of this action will result in a reduction to the University's annual insurance premium costs, as well as annual repair and maintenance costs.

RECOMMENDATION:

President Koffi C. Akakpo recommends that the Board of Regents approve the sell or disposal of the surplus buses.

Approve the sell or disposal of the surplus buses.
