Approval of the Academic Services Building (ASB) Roof and Windows Project
The Academic Services Building (ASB) has a roof that has exceeded its useful life, as well as windows and window seals that are failing.
These issues have caused water infiltration in multiple areas of the building.
This project will:
Replace the roof
Replace windows where necessary
Completely seal all windows
Approximately $500,000 remains in the Roof Repair and Replacement Pool authorized during the 2020 legislative session, and it will be used to fund this project.
Construction is planned to begin in early 2025.
The current budget for this project is $1,500,000.
Additional funding will come from the University's 2024–2026 state bond-funded asset preservation funds, which no longer require a matching contribution.
President Koffi C. Akakpo recommends that the Board of Regents approve the ASB Roof and Windows Project.
