Before beginning the Board items, Regent Moseley requested to provide an update regarding the Athletics committee, which was granted. Regent Moseley stated that the new gym floor is complete, and the University is currently in the process of getting new basketball goals. Discussions are underway with the Frankfort Country Club regarding a partnership that would benefit the University in several aspects.
Chair Dukes explained the rationale behind, and the benefits of, combining these two committees, and then discussed the new committee's name (Finance & Advancement Committee) and charge.
Regent Ramsey queried whether the Chairs of the former committees would now co-chair the new committee. Chair Dukes responded affirmatively.
Regent Walston inquired into the current makeup of the Finance & Audit Committee and Investment & Advancement committees.
Move the Board to approve the combining of the Finance & Audit Committee and Investment & Advancement Committee.
Seconded by Regent Rios-Alcantara and passed without dissent.
