The project team carried out an online engagement program to solicit input on district issues and opportunities and receive feedback on draft plan content. The project website included a mapping feature where users could place comments with geographic specificity. The interactive map asked users to consider important issues, opportunities and assets within the district boundaries. User were also asked to consider theme ideas for the district, which helped inform gateway concepts.
The project website generated more than 6,500 total visits and yielded more than 200 comments on the interactive map. Nearly half of these comments were ideas for existing opportunities on which the Township should consider.
