PLANNING PROCESS AND ENGAGEMENT

The planning process for the Presque Isle Gateway District plan kicked off in spring of 2021 and the plan was completed in early 2022. Throughout the process, feedback was imperative from a variety of groups, including:

• Project Team - The project team included the consultant team, Millcreek Township officials and Township staff
• Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) - The TAC included local experts in transportation, infrastructure, tourism, etc.
• Key Stakeholders - Key stakeholders included significant business and property owners in the District
• Community Members - All community members and residents of the District and Township were invited to participate

There were two rounds of community engagement that solicited feedback and input from community members. The first round took place in the summer of 2021 and the second round was in winter 2022 after draft materials had been developed. Below is a project timeline that includes all engagement throughout the planning process.
