===== PAGE 1 ===== # Kentucky State University National Alumni Association Permanent Alumni Scholarship (PAS) Fund SCHOLARSHIP PROCEDURES AND APPLICATION FOR 2026-2027 The Permanent Alumni Scholarship (PAS) Fund of the Kentucky State University National Alumni Association was established to provide scholarship assistance to deserving undergraduate students enrolled at Kentucky State University. Kentucky State University students enrolled full-time and classified as sophomore, junior or rising senior are eligible to apply. Applicants must have completed 24 hours of credit at Kentucky State University and have a GPA of 2.5 or higher. Scholarships are awarded for a one-year period; however, a student may reapply in subsequent years. The amount of the scholarship will be determined by the PAS Fund Committee and is based in-part on the amount of funds available. Students with the highest academic grade point averages and the greatest need may be given the greatest consideration. Funds will not be released until financial need is confirmed. To apply, the following forms and documents must be filed with the Office of Financial Aid at Kentucky State University by Friday, April 24, 2026. Please submit the documents listed below in a single envelope. 1. A completed application and the application form must be included and signed. 2. An essay that introduces the applicant and explains the need for financial assistance (no more than two page). 3. A letter of recommendation from a University professor that has or has had applicant in class and who knows the applicant's personal characteristics, leadership skills/abilities, work ethic and attitude. 4. Transcripts for all college studies including the 2025 Fall semester grades. 5. A copy of the current school-year financial aid awards letter. The application period is February 2, 2026 to April 24, 2026. Please submit all information as soon as possible. Applications submitted after April 24, 2026 will not be accepted. Student signature _____ Date _____ Financial Aid signature _____ Date _____ ===== PAGE 3 ===== # Kentucky State University National Alumni Association Permanent Alumni Scholarship (PAS) Fund SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION PROCEDURES AND TIMELINE (Submit application to the Office of Financial Aid by Friday, March 20, 2026) 02/02/26 - 03/20/26 PAS Scholarship application distribution period by the Office of Financial Aid and other campus departments. 03/20/26 Original Deadline for submitting applications to the Office of Financial Aid for processing. 03/23/26 - 04/03/26 Office of Financial Aid processes applications and submits them to the chairperson of the PAS Fund Committee. Applications are forwarded to all PAS Fund Committee Members. 04/06/26 - 04/17/26 PAS Fund Scholarship Subcommittee processes applications to determine eligibility and forwards the “official ballot” of eligible candidates to the PAS Fund Committee. Letter of receipt sent to all applicants. 04/25/26 PAS Fund Committee acts on the recommendations of the Scholarship Subcommittee and votes for the allowed number of candidates. Scholarship Subcommittee confirms votes and sends list of scholarship recipient recommendations to PAS Fund Chairperson. 05/03/26 PAS Fund Committee Chairperson submits scholarship recipients recommendations to the KSUNAA President and General Assembly for approval.
