PURPOSE:

The KYSU Online Academic Calendar, Terms, and Subterms Policy (1.3.4) supplements the Academic Calendar Policy (1.1.1) of Kentucky State University by providing guidance specific to programs and courses offered in the online modality. This policy describes the relationship between KYSU Online's nonstandard subterms and the standard semesters of the residentially-based academic programs.

POLICY STATEMENT:

The Department of Education requires that "[e]very eligible program must have a defined academic year."1 For the purposes of Federal Student Aid, "the academic year is defined in weeks of instructional time and credit or
