An official withdrawal occurs when an enrolled student decides they must leave after the term begins and they have attended at least one class. They must notify the University and cease attendance in all classes and/or academic activities.
Unofficial withdrawals may occur when an enrolled student ceases to attend classes, either as a no-show at the beginning of the term or failing all classes at the end of the term.
Suspensions occur when university administration determines that an enrolled student must leave the University due to poor academic performance or disciplinary issues.
Regardless of the reason for separation from the university, all students are responsible for the tuition and fee charges associated with the class(es) and other charges related to attending the University. This procedure documents the steps to ensure the students' charges are appropriately finalized.
