SUBJECT: Approval of Faculty Handbook

BACKGROUND: The Faculty Senate President has the responsibility for updating the Faculty Handbook each year with policies that were approved by the President and the Board of Regents since the previous handbook update.
SUMMARY OF PROGRAMS/ACTIVITIES: During the 2019-20 academic year, members of the Provost’s office along with Faculty Senate President, Faculty Regent, and other Faculty Senate Committee Chairs met throughout the year to review and revise various items in the Faculty Handbook. Details are attached. These items will be incorporated into the 2020-21 version of the Faculty Handbook.
Goal 2: Achieve Academic Excellence Across all Programs and Colleges, Increase Student General Education Skills, Degree Persistence, Career Readiness and Graduation Rates.
Goal 3: Increase the University's Financial Strength and Operational Efficiency.
