Kentucky State University remains committed to continuous improvement and institutional excellence. On December 7, 2025, the SACSCOC Board of Trustees placed the institution on Probation for Good Cause, providing a clear opportunity to strengthen our alignment with Standard 13.6 (Federal and state responsibilities) and reinforce our compliance efforts over the next 12 months (see related Letter from SACSCOC). A Special Committee has been authorized to visit the institution, allowing the University to demonstrate the significant strides being made as it moves forward with transparency, responsibility, and a shared dedication to student and institutional success.
Please direct questions related to SACSCOC to the institutional liaison. Contact Dr. Tierra Freeman Taylor, Assistant Vice Provost for Institutional Effectiveness, at (502) 597-5932 or Tierra.Freeman@kysu.edu. Additional information can be found on the University's accreditation webpage.
