Action: Motion was made to convene a closed session to discuss personnel matters and pending litigation pursuant to the Kentucky Open Meetings Act. The motion was made by Regent Jeter-Davis and seconded by Regent Whitehead. The motion passed 8-0.
The Board discussed pending litigation and personnel matters. No action was taken in Closed Session.
The Board reconvened in Open Session.
Action: Motion was made to remove Mr. Kalomo Bailey, Assistant Professor and Director of Bands, as a member of the faculty of Kentucky State University in accordance with KRS 164.360 based upon a charge preferred by the President of the University. The motion was made by Regent Henry and seconded by Regent Whitehead. The motion passed 5-0-3. Regents Jeter-Davis, McFayden and Thomas abstained.
Action: Motion was made and passed to adjourn the Board meeting by unanimous consent.
