MINUTES

1. Call to Order:

Chairperson Karen Bearden called the meeting of the Kentucky State University Board of Regents to order at 1:35 p.m. on August 16, 2013.

Eight Regents were in attendance. A quorum was declared.

III. Opening Remarks:

Chairperson Bearden welcomed the attendees to the meeting. She also requested that President Sias provide introductory remarks.

IV. President's Report:

President Sias requested that the Board grant extended leave to Dr. Eungchun Cho, Professor, Division of Mathematics for the Academic Year 2013-14. Dr. Cho requests this leave to conduct research in Mathematics at Seoul National University in Korea. Dr. Cho's research will benefit KSU and its students in the areas of mathematics and biology.
