MINUTES

Regent Karen Bearden called the meeting of the Kentucky State University Board of Regents Academic Affairs Committee to order at 9:00 a.m. on October 26, 2012. Regent Bearden asked Rita Evans, Academic Affairs, to call roll:

A quorum was declared. Dr. Thierstein gave an overview of the executive report. The report affirms that Academic Affairs and Land Grant faculty and staff remain dedicated to teaching, research, and service.

Action: A motion for the approval of the Academic Affairs Committee's July 27 2012, minutes was made by Regent Conner and seconded by Regen Barfield. The motion passed and the minutes were approved.

Action: A motion for approval of authorization for the President to confer the degrees at the December 8, 2012, commencement ceremony was made by Regent Conner and seconded by Regent Barfield. The motion passed.

A motion for the approval of the Academic Affairs Committee's July 27, 2012, minutes was made by Regent Conner and seconded by Regent Barfield. The motion passed and the minutes were approved.

A motion for approval of authorization for the President to confer the degrees at the December 8, 2012, commencement ceremony was made by Regent Conner and seconded by Regent Barfield. The motion passed.

The Academic Affairs' Committee meeting adjourned at 9:40 am.
