Served as the Interim President of Lincoln University for Fall 2010. The highlights of this tenure of service, in addition to the normal duties as VP, included testifying before the state legislature, attending various community meetings, and facilitating the investigation of personnel issues that resulted in the termination or forced resignation of two key persons in athletics.
Directed energy management project to de-centralize boilers; it was projected to produce approx 10% of $1.3 million as total annual energy savings upon full implementation. Lincoln was one of a few higher education schools funded by the Dept of Natural Resources;
Directly involved in the planning and design of a showpiece enhancement to campus grounds that now garners much attention from visitors to campus, the Soldiers' Memorial Plaza. This project included request and review of contractor proposals, weekly meetings with the Construction Administrator, and encouraged awareness and motivation of campus constituents and staff to complete the project that overlapped two presidential administrations;
In concert with staff consistently maintained the university's finances resulting in an unqualified audit opinion year after year;

Doing so, cultivated a broader audience and significantly more buy-in that continued to serve well as an exemplary shared governance model.
Facilitated bond offerings of $10 & $21 million to fund the construction of two new residence halls, Hoard & Yates Honors & Sherman D Scruggs, as well as major renovation work on the student union.
