Regent Phyllis Williams, Chairperson called the Student Success and Enrollment Management Committee meeting of the Kentucky State University Board of Regents to order at 10:45 a.m. on October 25, 2013. Regent Phyllis Williams asked the secretary to call roll:

The minutes of the July 26, 2013 meeting were approved.

Informational:
Dr. Lorenzo L. Esters began by giving updates of programmatic activities in the areas of Enrollment Services, Retention Management and Advising Services, Student Engagement and Leadership Development and University Safety and Security Affairs.
Dr. Esters passed to each member a copy of the Division of Student Success and Enrollment Management's five-year strategic plan. 2013 through 2018. He brought to the committee's attention the goals and objectives located on pages 8 and 9 of the document. Some of the divisional highlights
were: the increase in the size of the freshman class and overall enrollment; the increase in the academic profile of students recruited for the freshman class; the increase in overall undergraduate retention; staff participation in entrepreneurial efforts; and the successful student programming.

There are three major goals as articulated in the divisional strategic plan:
To increase the overall institutional enrollment;
To recruit and serve students who are an institutional fit; and
