MINUTES
Regent Karen Bearden, Chairperson called the Academic Affairs Committee meeting of the Kentucky State University Board of Regents to order at 11:20 a.m. on July 25, 2014. Regent Karen Bearden asked the secretary to call roll:

A quorum was declared.
Action: A motion for the approval of the Academic Affairs Committee’s April 25, 2014, minutes was made by Regent Barfield and seconded by Regent Bearden. The motion passed.
The report affirms that Academic Affairs and Land Grant faculty and staff remain dedicated to teaching, research, and service.
Action: A motion for approval of the recommendation to award Faculty Emeriti status to Dr. Edwin Conner was made by Regent Barfield and seconded by Regent Bearden. The motion passed.
Action: A motion for the approval of Sabbatical leave for Dr. Cynthia Shelton was made by Regent Barfield and seconded by Regent Bearden. The motion passed.
A motion for adjournment of the Academic Affairs’ Committee July 25, 2014 meeting was made by Regent Barfield and seconded by Regent Bearden. The motion passed.
The meeting adjourned at 11:59 a.m.
