PROFESSIONAL LEADERSHIP PHILOSOPHY STATEMENT:

For more than 27 years, the definitive hallmarks of my career in higher education have been best characterized by the following five core values:

  1. Transformative Leadership and Student-centered Decision Making
  2. Strategic Planning and Collaborative Engagement
  3. Cultural Diversity and Social Justice
  4. Shared Governance and Transparency
  5. Continuous Quality Improvement and Effective Communication

As a seasoned higher education leader who initially embarked upon this path as a first generation sojourner, I am especially cognizant of the inherent challenges often encountered by traditional and nontraditional students whose socioeconomic and sociocultural realities mirror my own upbringing. I humbly consider myself uniquely prepared to create and sustain an academic infrastructure which values all students and facilitates their success in higher education pursuits as well as their post-graduation endeavors. I therefore, welcome professional opportunities which will enable me to serve tirelessly to ensure the attainment of Educational Access, Equity, Excellence, And Success For All.
